Structural Abnormalities Series

Picture
The “Structural Abnormalities” Series was created from 1997 to 2004, when Ted was experiencing tremendous pain in his bones and joints. The work has been referenced to Mexican Day of the Dead calacas (skeletons), which, although interesting, is an incorrect comparison. Ted’s imagery comes from an internal source of pain and confusion over possible medical procedures being recommended to him and how his medical problems would play out over his lifetime.
