Since he was a child stuck in the hospital Ted has merged a love of art and the trappings of his chronic medical condition.

By creating images of pained and contorted bodies, or scarred and transformed people, Ted hopes to make strong, beautiful images that tell stories of strength, survival, and compassion. 

Starting with introspective Ted-centric work like his Structural Abnormalities series, then moving on to produce work about other people, Ted has used art for healing, storytelling, and understanding.

When not "arting" Ted started Art and Med, a partnership with doctor, Simi Rahman. Together they are committed to enriching medical education and the practice of medicine through the presentation and exploration of relevant arts experiences.
