Double Mastectomy and Ovarian Cancer Scar
![]() |
She says of her scar... I Developed Ovarian Cancer due to an inherited BRCA 1 genetic mutation. It was highly recommended to have a double mastectomy as well as an ooferectomy because of the elevated risk of Breast Cancer. These scars on my body remind me daily of the fierce battle that saved my life. I am very grateful to be alive. I am actively participating in the Gilda Radner Hereditary Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. |
